About Swarm Interactive

Swarm Interactive is the developer of ViewMedica, a Web-based patient information system designed to help medical professionals explain complex surgical topics to their patients. We specialize in patient education, medical website development and custom interactive projects.

Our History

Founded in 1998, Swarm’s portfolio boasts hundreds of websites and patient education animations. Our client list includes individual practices, hospital systems and major medical companies such as Medtronic, Depuy Spine and Smith & Nephew. Organizations such as the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons, North American Spine Society and the Arthritis Foundation came to Swarm for its online patient education.

Our Office

Swarm Interactive’s office, in Chapel Hill North Carolina, is based in a historic brick building with a storied past. Most notably, it housed a 1920's movie theater and more recently was the birthplace of the Android operating system.

Our Staff

Swarm Interactive’s medical animators, programmers and Web specialists create multimedia products and interactive websites that deliver complex information in an easy-to-understand manner.
